The International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) is the first Free Zone in the Middle East, dedicated to media production activities. It provides a highly pro-business environment and a complete technology and community infrastructure to support and foster the growth of media production. The IMPZ is part of Dubai’s vision to transmute itself into a global media hotspot.
Spread over 43 million sq. ft of land, IMPZ seeks to create a cluster of media production companies. Furnishing an eco-friendly environment and infrastructure, this media settlement supports all sectors of the media and entertainment production industry with special emphasis on publishing, printing, broadcasting, film and music. As a master developer, International Media Production Zone will invest in key facilities and infrastructure that incorporate industrial, commercial, residential and community service projects.
Companies joining IMPZ can avail of 100 per cent ownership and will be exempt from almost all corporate and personal taxes including those for machinery, equipment, raw materials and spares utilised by the industry. Furthermore, rules governing media production have been simplified to facilitate maximum ease of operations.
At IMPZ, each unit will act as a complete facility for production operations with provisions for loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods; thermally-insulated production units will be available on an annual rental basis. Printing companies also have the option of taking multiple units or having a combination of both land and production units.
IMPZ Residential Zone
The IMPZ offers various kinds of residential accommodation. These include one and two-bedroom apartments set amidst landscaped lawns. The buildings in IMPZ have used high-quality material and reflect the latest architectural styles and innovative construction practices. Residential facilities within this media free zone span internal transportation, medical centre, schools, parks, retail outlets and hotels. Other amenities include amphitheatre, entertainment and recreational utilities, sports grounds, state-of-the-art fitness clubs, swimming pools and 24X7 security.
